Welcome!

A Relational, Evidence-Based Approach to Therapy

I’m passionate about creating a therapeutic space built on connection, empathy, and mutual respect, where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. My goal is to foster a collaborative and supportive therapy relationship that helps you process trauma, build self-acceptance, and achieve meaningful personal growth.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, or simply seeking greater empowerment and well-being, I provide guidance and evidence-based support to help you live a more fulfilling and purposeful life.

Specializing in Trauma, Mood Disorders, and Relational Support

Early in my career, I was drawn to trauma work, grounding my approach in research and psychoeducation about what happens in the body during traumatic experiences. I spent years supporting survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual violence, helping clients navigate trauma, reclaim safety, and build resilience. After returning to San Francisco, my clinical focus expanded to bipolar and mood disorders, where I came to recognize the profound overlap between trauma and mood-related challenges.

Over the years, while I continue to work closely with clients managing mood and emotional regulation difficulties, I have also welcomed loved ones and caregivers into my practice, helping them find insight, balance, and resilience in navigating complex relational dynamics. As a recovering people-pleaser myself, I’ve navigated my own journey of owning and honoring boundaries, releasing guilt around self-care, and using EMDR for somatic processing to reinforce that taking care of myself isn’t selfish. This personal experience informs my work with people-pleasers and those impacted by the emotional challenges of loving or supporting someone with bipolar or personality disorders.

Integrative, Holistic, and Trauma-Informed

My approach is integrative and holistic, combining evidence-based therapy techniques tailored to your unique strengths and needs. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including ACT, DBT, CBT, Schema Therapy, and EMDR, and I am certified in CBASP for chronic depression. This combination allows me to provide a trauma-informed, healing-centered approach that supports lasting growth, resilience, and emotional well-being.

In addition to individual therapy, I provide clinical supervision and consultation for associate therapists pursuing licensure. My approach creates a supportive, nurturing space for professional growth, reflection, and skill development, helping emerging clinicians build confidence, deepen their expertise, and thrive in their work with clients.

Life Beyond the Office

When I’m not in the office, you’ll often find me exploring new hobbies, cheering on the Giants at a baseball game, or spending quality time with friends and family. These moments of connection keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of playfulness, balance, and well-being in everyday life. I bring this same sense of balance, curiosity, and openness into my work as a therapist, and I look forward to supporting you in finding personal growth, resilience, and meaningful connection in your own life.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, whether it’s your first experience or part of an ongoing journey. I’m here to provide supportive, compassionate, and trauma-informed therapy, helping you take this important step at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

My modalities/approach:

At the heart of my approach is building trust, safety, and a healing-centered space, where we can work together to navigate challenges and foster personal growth. My work is always deeply relational, regardless of the therapeutic methods or coping skills we employ. Together, we’ll collaborate to find tools and strategies that meet your unique needs, integrating evidence-based practices that empower your healing journey and support lasting change.

  • ACT helps you embrace your thoughts and feelings without judgment, while also guiding you to take meaningful action in alignment with your values. It empowers you to create space for both acceptance and change, leading to a more fulfilling life.

  • DBT combines mindfulness and emotional regulation skills to help you navigate intense emotions and challenging relationships. It focuses on finding balance between acceptance and change, cultivating greater emotional stability and resilience.

  • CBASP is a structured therapy that supports individuals with chronic depression by addressing the root causes of distress and developing healthier, more adaptive patterns of thinking and behavior. It emphasizes the importance of relational experiences in shaping your sense of self.

  • Schema Therapy helps uncover and transform deep-seated patterns of thought, behavior, and emotional responses that have developed over time, often stemming from past experiences. It provides insight into the core beliefs that shape your relationships, offering new ways to build healthier connections with yourself and others.

  • EMDR is a powerful, trauma-focused therapy that helps you process distressing memories by using bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements) to facilitate healing. It offers a path to reduce emotional pain and integrate past experiences, promoting lasting recovery and peace.
