A Relational, Evidence-Based Approach to Therapy

Feeling seen, supported, and safe in the therapeutic relationship can turn overwhelming moments into opportunities for insight, growth, and real change. Together, we focus on:

  • Working through experiences that have left you hurt or stuck, so you can feel lighter and more present in your life

  • Finding acceptance and kindness toward yourself, even in the parts you’ve been critical of or afraid to show

  • Discovering what truly matters to you, and taking steps toward living in a way that feels purposeful and aligned

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions — or simply want to show up more fully and intentionally in your own life — I provide guidance that’s relational, evidence-informed, and tailored to your experience. My goal is to help you not just cope, but feel more grounded, resilient, and connected — both to yourself and to the people who matter most.

  • I’ve always been drawn to trauma work. I’m endlessly curious about how our experiences shape our minds and bodies, and how we can reclaim a sense of safety, strength, and self along the way. Over the years, my focus has grown, guided by both clinical work and personal insight:

Trauma Work: I started my career supporting survivors of intimate partner and sexual violence. There’s nothing more rewarding than witnessing someone reconnect with their own resilience and sense of agency — even in small, quiet moments.

Bipolar and Mood Disorders: After returning to San Francisco, my work expanded to bipolar and mood disorders. I noticed how trauma and emotional regulation challenges often show up together — and how practical, compassionate support can make a real difference in day-to-day life.

Supporting Loved Ones: I also work closely with people navigating mood and regulation challenges, as well as their loved ones and caregivers. Relationships can be messy, complicated, and full of love — and it’s my favorite kind of work to help people find balance, clarity, and a sense of ease in the process.

People-Pleasing and Boundaries: As a recovering people-pleaser myself, I know what it’s like to put everyone else first… and how freeing it can be to finally practice saying no, set boundaries, and let go of guilt. EMDR and somatic work are tools I use to help clients feel that freedom in their bodies as well as their minds.

A Lived Perspective: This mix of experiences shapes how I work with people-pleasers and anyone navigating the emotional challenges of loving or supporting someone with bipolar or personality disorders — helping them approach relationships and self-care with clarity, compassion, and a little patience.

    Why I Do This Work
Every client’s story matters. I blend evidence-based approaches with genuine connection, helping people feel seen, supported, and empowered — and hopefully a little lighter, a little more curious, and a little more themselves by the end of our work together.

  • I take an integrative, holistic, and trauma-informed approach, meeting you where you are and building on the strengths you already bring.

Our work starts with cultivating a strong therapeutic relationship and building trust — the foundation for meaningful growth. Therapy is about connection, and the way we relate in session is part of the work itself. I pay attention to how we affect each other — in big ways and small — and use that awareness to help your growth happen. I’ll share what I notice about my own reactions in session in a way that’s honest, kind, and accountable, so you can explore your experience safely and fully.

Tailored and Evidence-Based: I draw from ACT, DBT, CBT, Schema Therapy, and EMDR, blending these approaches to meet your unique needs — because therapy should fit you, not the other way around.

Specialized Certification & EMDR Training: I’m certified in CBASP and trained in EMDR, which equips me to support people with chronic depression and trauma, providing practical tools alongside compassionate guidance.

Healing-Centered: My goal is to help you develop resilience, strengthen emotional well-being, and foster lasting growth, all in a space that is human, approachable, and grounded in your experience.

  • Outside of the therapy room, you’ll often find me exploring new hobbies (which I have to thank for my growing collection of wonky mugs from ceramics class), cheering on the San Francisco Giants or Golden State Valkyries (and doing a terrible job of pretending to care about other sports), spending time with friends and family, or hanging out with my fur babies, Taco and Colbert.

These little moments — whether it’s a game, a laugh, or a purring cat on my lap — keep me grounded and remind me why balance, play, and a little joy matter.

I bring that same curiosity, steadiness, and sense of humor into my work, and I look forward to supporting you as you build resilience, growth, and meaningful connection in your own life.

Our Healing Tool-Kit

At the heart of my approach is building trust, safety, and a healing-centered space, where we can work together to navigate challenges and foster personal growth. My work is always deeply relational, regardless of the therapeutic methods or coping skills we employ. Together, we’ll collaborate to find tools and strategies that meet your unique needs, integrating evidence-based practices that empower your healing journey and support lasting change.

  • ACT helps you embrace your thoughts and feelings without judgment, while also guiding you to take meaningful action in alignment with your values. It empowers you to create space for both acceptance and change, leading to a more fulfilling life.

  • DBT combines mindfulness and emotional regulation skills to help you navigate intense emotions and challenging relationships. It focuses on finding balance between acceptance and change, cultivating greater emotional stability and resilience.

  • CBASP is a structured therapy that supports individuals with chronic depression by addressing the root causes of distress and developing healthier, more adaptive patterns of thinking and behavior. It emphasizes the importance of relational experiences in shaping your sense of self.

  • Schema Therapy helps uncover and transform deep-seated patterns of thought, behavior, and emotional responses that have developed over time, often stemming from past experiences. It provides insight into the core beliefs that shape your relationships, offering new ways to build healthier connections with yourself and others.

  • EMDR is a powerful, trauma-focused therapy that helps you process distressing memories by using bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements) to facilitate healing. It offers a path to reduce emotional pain and integrate past experiences, promoting lasting recovery and peace.
